My Placement Journey at Gray Matter

By Parth Limbani (CSE 2026)

Hello everyone,

I’m Parth Limbani, a final-year B.Tech Computer Science Engineering student at CHRIST University, graduating in 2026. I’m glad to share my placement journey and hope it helps juniors in their preparation.

My journey was focused on building strong basics and staying consistent. I spent most of my time preparing for data structures and algorithms, interview questions and projects. Solving DSA problems regularly helped improve my logical thinking and confidence.

Along with DSA, I worked on projects to understand how concepts are used in real-world applications. Projects also helped me explain my work clearly during interviews, which made a big difference.

During the Gray Matter interviews, the key focus was on problem-solving and how I approached questions. I learned that interviewers care more about your thinking process than just the final answer.

One important learning for me was not to panic if I didn’t know something. Staying calm, thinking step by step and communicating clearly helped a lot.

My advice to juniors is simple: be consistent, focus on fundamentals and build projects. Don’t compare your journey with others — trust your own pace.

Stay patient and keep learning.
