Placement Tips for CSE Students
I’m a BTech CSE student, and one thing I learned is that strong fundamentals matter most. Be clear with basic DSA, OOP concepts, DBMS, OS and at least one programming language.
Choose projects you genuinely understand. Work on real-world problems and practice explaining your project by relating it to how the solution would be used in real life. This creates a strong impact in interviews.
Practice problem-solving consistently. Daily practice, even in small amounts, is more effective than last-minute preparation.
Clear communication is crucial. How well you explain your thought process often matters more than having a perfect answer.
Don’t be discouraged by rejections. Learn from them, improve and move forward — one offer is enough.
Be honest and curious during interviews. Admitting what you don’t know while showing willingness to learn leaves a positive impression.
Stay consistent, avoid comparisons and take care of your mental health throughout the placement process.
